R E S U R F A C E

 

The design for Resurface utilized the concepts of found television and short wave radio content in parallel with vocal sampling, synthesized drones and string sounds. The string quartet section was a melody composed for the round structure in that it harmonized with 4 voicings.

Resurface was a collaboration of  sound, light, video, and movement by 7 arts with music and sound design by edmund mooney, choreography and performance by eva lawrence, lighting design by thomas dunn and video design by thomas dunn and hannah yampolsky. This 8 minute edit of the evening length work was shot at one of the few live performances of resurface at wax in williamsburgh.
